A quick, easy home-remedy for sore throat, to ease common cold or even to speed up the healing of a physical injury.

  • 350 ml of milk
  • ½ tsp haldi powder (turmeric powder)
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1 tsp honey (or, to taste)
  • 1 pod elaichi (green cardamom)
  • 2 whole black peppercorns

  • Heavy Bottomed Saucepan
  1. Place the ghee, haldi powder and honey in a heavy bottomed saucepan and whisk to combine.
  2. Add the milk, lightly bashed elaichi and peppercorns. Whisk again and set on high heat to bring to a boil.
  3. Lower the heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Strain into cups and drink hot.
